The Miami Valley Spina Bifida Organization exists to connect, support, and educate those affected by Spina Bifida in the greater Dayton region.

What is Spina Bifida?

Spina Bifida is the failure of the spine to close properly during the first month of pregnancy, resulting in varying degrees of paralysis, loss of sensation in the lower limbs, difficulty with bowel and bladder management, hydrocephalus, latex allergies, and learning disabilities. The challenges brought about by Spina Bifida continue throughout life.

The exact cause of Spina Bifida is not known with certainty. However, scientists believe that genetic and environmental factors may act together to cause Spina Bifida.

REMEMBER, purchases will not count for MVSBO until a card is registered!

Do you use your phone number at the register? Call 800-576-4377, select option 3 to get your Kroger Plus card number.

Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count.
